Biodiversity conservation and proper management of the ecosystem are very important in ensuring
the health and sustainability of Earth. The conventional ways of managing wildlife are however
limited because of the intricacy and uncertainty of the ecological systems. Optimization of
conservation strategies is more urgent than ever before since the ecosystems and wildlife are facing
mounting pressure due to both anthropogenic activities and climate change. This paper discusses how
genetic algorithms (GAs) can be used to streamline wildlife preservation and management of
ecosystems. In particular, the study intends to show how GAs may be used to find the most favorable
conservation policies that incorporate ecological goals like species conservation, habitat connectivity,
and resource distribution and reduces costs. In the strategy that employ, and develop a GA structure
where conservation solutions are coded as individuals in a population. The fitness function analyzes
these solutions against several ecological criteria and thus directs the algorithm in a series of
improvements. The model was used to simulate the situation of wildlife management based on the
real data on the distribution of species and the characteristics of the ecosystem. The findings suggest
that GAs have the capacity of detecting conservation strategies that have high ecological benefit which
are far more cost-effective than the conventional approaches. The solutions offered maximized the
conservation of the biodiversity, increased connectivity of habitats and made the ecosystem more
resilient. This paper highlights how genetic algorithms can be an effective instrument of informed
decision-making in wildlife conservation, and ecosystem management, as a way to proceed in the fight
against environmental issues on a global scale.
