DOCUMENTATION IN DIGITAL ERA: TRANSFORMATIVE ROLE OF PRINTMAKING IN CULTURAL EXPRESSION

Abstract

Art and society are closely connected. Art reflects people's lives, values and emotions. Society shapes how artists
express themselves, while art helps communities understand their culture and history. Printmaking plays an
important role in this relationship. It is a creative medium that allows ideas, traditions and social messages to be
shared widely. Through prints, artists can reach many people, making art more accessible. Printmaking has been
used to spread cultural knowledge, inspire social change and encourage dialogue among communities. It serves
as both a mirror of society and a tool for communication across generations and cultures.
