The effect of various biological and non-biological factors on the growth of spiny lobsters with emphasize on the species that living along the Makran beaches

Spiny lobsters are the most expensive and valuable seafood and are produced and sold in
more than 90 countries, including Iran. Here are three spiny lobster species that live in the
shores of Makran, spiny lobster Panulirus homarus (Linnaeus, 1758), mud spiny lobster P.
polyphagus (Herbst, 1973) and Melon spiny lobester P. versicolor (Latreille, 1804).
accounting for more than 95% of Iran's trade is related to spiny lobster. Due to the economic
crisis, problems in the field of water and aquaculture can be a very good option to
compensate for some of these losses. In this study, for quick and easy access of researchers
and craftsmen in this field, by examining the studies conducted in this field, the effect of
various biological and non-biological factors on the growth of spiny lobsters in Makran
waters in southern Iran has been investigated. The results showed that the growth of lobsters
decrease under acute environmental conditions, such as salinity, temperature, acidity
decreases in high and low values. Also, for chandeliers, lobsters with younger age and size,
the growth rate is higher. Growth rate is generally higher in male lobsters than in female
lobsters. Besides that, in group breeding, the growth rate is higher than the individual mode.
Based on the studies that have been done in this field, it can be concluded that the closer
the environmental conditions of lobsters are to the environmental conditions, increase their
growth rate and survival rate.
