Genomic editing technology by CRISPR/CAS in producing transgenic chickens

Transgenic chickens Genome editing CRISPR /Cas9 EndonucleaseAbstract
Birds species especially broilers, in addition to being one of the most important species of
animal protein suppliers, are considered as a model in developmental biology, medicine and
biomedicine. Recently, precise genome editing technologies have been rapidly developed
through the CRISPR /Cas9 system which they are one of the most promising options for
genome editing. The basis of the process hidden in the function of engineered
endonucleases and has led to the production of transgenic chickens for vaccine,
recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies. In particular, these techniques are
cultured with primary germ cells and combined with viral vector systems to produce a
valuable bird model edited by the genome for a variety of purposes. In this study, we
described recent advances in CRISPR / Cas9-based genome editing technology and its
applications in bird species.
